Ni Li has a background in water resource engineering and joined in 2023 as a PhD researcher under prof. Wim Thiery, with co-supervision from prof. Jacob Zscheischler (TU Dresden, Germany). Her interdisciplinary research, between climate science and natural language processing, will develop a new climate impact dataset "Wikimpacts", and investigate extreme event impacts with climate anomalies.


The research project is supported by the EUTOPIA inter-university alliance, between the Department of Water and Climate of the VUB and the Department of Enviromental Science of the TU Dresden.
